Apple today announced that two more entertainment options will be hitting its set-top offering. HBO Go and WatchESPN have been added to the Apple TV lineup, along with Sky News, Crunchyroll and Available as a free software update for the second and third-generation Apple TV, the just-released Apple TV software version 5.3 enables the popular iOS apps, WatchESPN and HBO GO, on your Apple TV, as well as an additional three content providers, UK’s Sky News, anime site Crunchyroll and music concert streaming service Qello…. The second is HBO GO which is an app and online version of HBO’s network. It allows users who are already subscribed to any TV service which offers HBO, to stream their content on various devices. HBO announced that starting April 30th, the HBO Go and HBO Now apps will be removed from the 2nd and 3rd generation Apple TV. The company detailed the change in a support document on the HBO Go Help Center website, saying that the company was making the change to ensure "the best streaming experience" possible for its customers.
